Broadwas Croquet Club is situated in picturesque countryside just off the A44 in the village of Broadwas. We are just six miles from the centre of Worcester and eight miles from Bromyard.
The club currently has a friendly membership of about 75 playing and social members.
We offer a warm welcome to new members of any age, whether experienced players or folk interested in just trying the game.
Croquet is a game you can enjoy at your own pace, providing good exercise in beautiful surroundings and a convivial atmosphere.
Our club ground has 5 full sized lawns and an excellent well equipped club pavilion, which was built by members in the early years after the club was formed. We have a good range of mallets for potential and new members to use before they make the leap into buying their own. As you would expect, we have all the equipment, such as hoops and balls, needed for playing croquet.
In 2018 we had rabbit proof fencing installed around the ground to combat the inevitable scourge presented by being in a rural location. This has proven to very effective.
Above all else we have the great advantage of being situated in beautiful Worcestershire countryside. There are few nicer places to play croquet or to simply sit and watch.
Broadwas Croquet Club is a member of both the South West and West Midlands Croquet Federations and we enter teams in competitions of both regions. Occasionally, our players participate in national competitions. We’re also a member club of Croquet England which is the governing body for croquet throughout England and Wales.
