Broadwas Croquet Club members enjoyed the first winter breakfast of the close season on Tuesday.
Organised by club president John Steel, the “Steely Breakfast” was hosted at The Bell Inn, Lower Broadheath, by Lyndsey and Ian Allen, who also recently welcomed club members at short notice for our annual awards lunch.
Ten players once again enjoyed the Inn’s fine early-morning fayre and embraced the opportunity to catch up with other club members and discuss the forthcoming season (not THAT far away…or is that wishful thinking?).
The breakfasts have been very popular over the past few years and provide members with a valuable way of keeping in touch face-to-face during the bleak months without croquet.
The next club breakfast will be held on Tuesday 13th January. If you would like to meet up with your croquet colleagues over great food, contact John Steel directly by email.
