Broadwas GC High Handicap Squad Takes ‘Bronze’

The Broadwas High Handicap Golf Croquet team has clinched third place in the 2023 South West Federation High Handicap League.

Led by captain Nick Reed, the squad took third place behind winners Moreton in Marsh A and runners-up, Cheltenham after drawing in the last match of the season at Moreton’s new ground.

The Broadwas team received a warm welcome from members of the fledgling club at the last game of the competition at Moreton’s new lawns. The Moreton in Marsh B team snatched an eight-all draw in the final game of the match, involving David Harington.

The Broadwas squad for the season included Nick Reed (captain), Jim Norris, Jean Faulkner, Gill Richardson, Viv Ellis, Hazel Felton, David Holt, David Creed-Newton, Mary Dryden and Paul Felton.
