Looking Forward to 2022

At Broadwas we are lucky that our club is situated in beautiful Worcestershire countryside and 2 or 3 hours playing croquet there with some pleasant company is good for the soul. So it is perhaps not too surprising that our membership has flourished over these difficult times.

The very nature of Croquet meant that it was easy to comply with social distancing rules without spoiling the enjoyment of games. However we did have to limit the number of players during the early Covid days and also control the use of club indoor facilities, which sadly meant no tea and cakes after playing!

Hopefully those times are now past and seem unlikely to return which means we will be able enjoy the new season to the full. Weather permitting we expect to be back playing regional league matches starting in April plus our normal busy programme of internal competitions throughout the season. We also planning a professional coaching scheme to develop players skills. We haven’t forgotten social croquet and will be running our ever-popular Members’ Club and Fun Days throughout the season.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to our local Parish Councils, Malvern Hills District Council, Sport England and the local enterprises and private individuals who have supported us so readily over these difficult last two years.
